The College of Natural and Computational Sciences, formerly called Faculty of Applied Natural Sciences, was established in 2004, when the College of Medical Science was changed to the level of University. The aim of the college was to fill the gap between academia and the working world by offering a sound academic training designed to meet the practical aspects of professional life. Statistics is one of the departments in the college of Natural and Computational Science. Statistics department was established in 2005 undergraduate programs and postgraduate program was also established in 2011. It is one of the fast growing departments in the university with the objectives of providing statistical trainings, research and consultancy services. Currently, the department has reached one undergraduate in Statistics and four post graduate programs in Biostatistics, Applied Statistics, Econometrics and Biometry programs. In addition, extension and summer in post graduate programs are offered in Biostatistics.
